Sameh Hassan Shoukry Selim, an Egyptian diplomat, was assigned by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to take over the portfolio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the new formation of the first government under Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, following the revolution of June 30.

His Career
He joined the diplomatic corps in 1976, where he held the position of ambassador in the embassies of Egypt, London and Buenos Aires, and the “Permanent Mission of Egypt” in New York.
He served as Egypt's delegate at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva (2005-2008), and Director of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Aboul Gheit (2005-2004).
