She was influenced by her father, who was one of the Free Officers. She started her life as a broadcaster at Middle East Radio, then entered the acting field and worked in many theatrical, television and film works.
She worked as a freelance radio employee in the European program, and then worked as an assistant in the Middle East program, then trained until she became a broadcaster presenting air programs. During the series (Mizo), which was her first work in the field of acting in 1977, she participated in the same year with five other works, including the movie (Doaa Al-Mazloumeen), while she had the experience of writing for the first time in 1985 through the movie (The Crazy) and then the series (The Night of the Arrest of Bakiza and Zagloul). ) in 1987, which was turned into a movie the following year, which achieved great success.
With the founding of (the Arab Company for Film Production and Distribution) in 2000 with the participation of her husband, the businessman (Alaa Al-Khawaja), and among the most prominent works that she participated in its production (Zheimer, Letters of the Sea, Staying Nights), while one of her most prominent works as an actress is (Shaaban below zero, Lord boy, men world unite).
Her sons, Nourhan and Omar, were not interested in art and studied marketing and business administration.
