Omar Hariri

 Omar Hariri (February 12, 1926 - October 16, 2011), an Egyptian actor, studied at the Higher Institute of Arab Acting and graduated in the same class as actor Shukri Sarhan in 1947


His artistic beginning was through his work in the National Theater, in which he presented several successful plays, then he worked in several theaters, and was presented to the public by the late artist Youssef Wehbe in his plays in 1950.

The artist Omar Al-Hariri was born on the twelfth day of February 1926, in Cairo. His father loved the theater and insisted on taking Omar with him to theatrical performances presented by the “Al-Rihani”, “Fatima Rushdi”, “Zaki Tulaimat” and “Youssef” theatrical performances. Bey Wehbe.” Omar Hariri loved art and acting since his childhood, and joined the school acting team, and his team competed with other school teams. Radio programs after his graduation, and the artist Zaki Tulaimat chose him to join his theater group, and he performed with the group many plays.

The first cinematic appearance of the late artist Omar Hariri was when he co-starred in the movie “Avocado Madiha” with Youssef Wehbe, Madiha Yousry, and he launched into the field of art and presented nearly 105 cinematic, television and theater works over the course of his artistic career.

The artist Omar Hariri, who is still a young man in his teens, married Mrs. "Amal al-Silhdar", at the request of his father, and had his eldest daughter Nevin from her, but the married life between them was full of problems because of his wife's jealousy, and he returned to her and his wife remained until she passed away, and he grieved She is very sad.

Several years after the death of his first wife, the artist Omar Hariri married the woman of society, “Nadia Sultan”, and he had his middle daughter, Merit, and after the marriage, differences began between them, so they agreed to divorce quietly

His last marriage was to the Moroccan artist Rachida Rahmouni. Omar Hariri married her and gave birth to his third daughter, Brihan, and remained with her until his death in 2011.

The late artist Omar Hariri was the spiritual father of the leader Adel Imam, who supported him a lot at the beginning of his artistic career, and taught him many things. He made his way to stardom, and became one of the most famous comedy stars in Egypt, and Adel Imam hesitated before offering the artist Omar Hariri his participation in his works because he was embarrassed and ashamed of being the hero, but the artist Omar Hariri agreed and welcomed the participation with Adel Imam, and they presented Together, the play “Shahid Mashfash Hajja”, the play “Al-Wad Sayed Al-Shaghal”.


He participated in many films, where he participated in more than a hundred films, most notably The Empty Pillow in 1957, Love Until Worship in 1959, Sugar Hanim in 1960, The River of Love with Omar Sharif and Faten Hamama in 1960, Al-Nasir Salah El-Din in 1963, The Traitor in 1965, and The Sinners In 1975, Desire and Price in 1978, People of the Summit in 1981, and His Excellency the Minister in 2002, but he did not perform the absolute championship except in one movie, which is more precious than his eyes in 1955.

He also performed the voice of Mussolini in the movie Omar Mukhtar directed by Moustafa Akkad in 1981.

He participated in more than one religious and dramatic series, as well as Fawazeer Ramadan and One Thousand and One Nights (Sherihan) in the year 1985 AD, and in 1986 AD in the story of Princess Wardshan and Mando Ibn Al Zabal, he played the most beautiful role, the role of Sultan Al Saleh Kahlan, and it is still one of his most beautiful roles.


 He also participated in the series Sheikh Al-Arab Hammam, in which he played the character of Hammam's father, Sheikh of the Arabs, and the series "Saken Qasadi" with the late Muhammad Rida and Sana Jamil, which is one of the works that is still popular until now. Al-Aziz and the series “The Unknown Prince” and the series “There is no god but God” in more than three parts of the five parts of the series. He appeared in the Girls series and played the role of the father. He also embodied the role of Ahmed in the series "Awraq Al-Ward" with the artist Warda Al-Jazaeryia in 1979; He also participated in the series "Dreams of the Flying Boy" with Adel Imam.

He also participated in many plays, most notably Shahid Mashfsh Haja in 1976 and Al Wad Sayed Al Shaghal in 1985 with Adel Imam, and Sukar Hanim in 2010, which was a re-production of the movie he made before.

He died on Sunday 16 October 2011 at the age of 85 years.
