Muhammad Taha’s PhD topic was on “Creativity in Psychotherapy,” and he considered it the second departure from the text he had made in his life. The research discusses how psychotherapy can be a creative process similar to creativity in art, creativity in music, creativity in writing, a process of synthesis, trying to help a person to be himself, and resurrecting what was buried from him due to various factors, that the person becomes and lives what Likes. All of this is considered creativity… and until this is presented in the form of scientific research, Muhammad Taha studied psychoanalysis, studied the creative process and applied this in his research.
Then Muhammad Taha returned to Egypt and began working at Minya University until he started his writing career.
Muhammad Taha had a passion for reading in the humanities, he loved to read to Mustafa Mahmoud, Abbas Al-Akkad and Taha Hussein, he loved to delve deeper into the human psyche, and he saw that the study of the human psyche is the most valuable thing that can be studied. He specialized in psychiatry and studied under Dr. Refaat Mahfouz, founder of the Four Steps Model of Psychotherapy and Professor of Psychiatry at Minya University. Mohamed Taha learned the “Minya Model in Psychotherapy,” a model of group therapy that has been discussed in many international researches.
Muhammad Taha's journey began with writing while he was in high school. He loved writing short stories, and one day he decided to send one of these books to the Al-Ahram Evening Newspaper. Then the newspaper accepted the story and published it, which encouraged Muhammad Taha to send other stories and they were published as well.
What distinguishes Dr. Muhammad Taha's books is the simplicity and smoothness of the explanation, and his ability to help the reader see himself as it is. He is the owner of a public intellectual project to simplify psychological problems and provide solutions to them. His books contributed to creating a general state of psychological awareness in Egypt and the Arab world.
Dr. Mohamed Taha and one of his colleagues at Minya University prepared a research paper analyzing the slogans written by minibus drivers and ticks on the back of their cars. He explains that this speech expresses and reflects a large group of people, so they compiled more than a thousand sentences of these slogans, and began to analyze these sentences psychologically. They used a very modern method in analyzing the text to bring out the psychological meanings they carry, and they discovered that there are psychological meanings that are repeated, including “ Intense sense of self,” as well as “fear of the envy of others.”
In 2014, Muhammad Taha began writing on his own page on Facebook, and he began to notice a response from readers, which prompted him to create an official page for him, and Muhammad Taha was surprised by the positive reaction of the public to his writings.
He wanted anyone who reads what he wrote or attends a lecture or seminar for him to understand and absorb easily, and everyone feels that the speech touches him personally and benefits and reflects on him and begins to apply it in his life.
After Muhammad Taha's writings increased on his page, and indeed Muhammad Taha compiled the content in a book, and began to write to all publishing houses, until he began contracting with the Toya publishing house.
The publishing house had some reservations about writing it in the vernacular, and they suggested making some amendments, but Muhammad Taha explained that this is the way in which he believes and is confident that it will reach people, so the publishing house agreed and they took the risk with Muhammad Taha and published the book “Exit from the text” in 2016. The book quickly became a bestseller, and within two years the book had 40 editions.
In the same year, Muhammad Taha, with Dar Toya, again published the book "Dangerous Relationships", which had 40 editions in just one year!
