Yehia El-Fakharani (April 7, 1945-), an Egyptian actor and doctor, born in Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt's Delta. In October 2020, Yehia El-Fakharani was appointed as a deputy in the Egyptian Senate by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, so that El-Fakharani, along with Samira Abdel-Aziz, would represent Egyptian art.
He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1971 from the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Cairo, and was a prominent member of the faculty’s acting team, and was awarded the Best Actor Award at the level of Egyptian universities. After graduating, he practiced medicine for a short period as a general practitioner in the TV Medical Services Fund, and he intended to specialize in mental and neurological diseases, and at that time he considered art only as a hobby, but he fell into the professional circle.

He has feelings of attachment to his colleague “Lamis” as a wife, friend and partner with whom he can start a new life. She now works as a gynecologist and obstetrician and writes scenarios away from the spotlight.
He made his television debut when he participated in the series “Days of Fun” with the able actor Abdel Moneim Madbouly in 1972. In the following years, he participated in many series, including: “The Man and the Dukhan”, “Hroub” and “The Crime”. He also made his debut in the cinema in 1977 in the movie "Ah Ya Lail Ya Time" with the big screens, Rushdi Abaza and Samir Ghanem.
In 1979, his star rose and he became known to the masses through his participation in the social series "My Dear Sons, Shukran", where he played the role of the eldest son Raafat. In the same year, he participated in two other series, "Birds Without Wings" and "The Ship of Wonders".
In 1981, he played the role of Abdel Hamid alongside actress Ferdous Abdel Hamid in the drama series "Siyam Siam". The following year, he participated in three films, "The Journey of Misery and Love", "A Very Special Claim", in which he played the role of Ibrahim with the great actor Farid Shawqi, and the starring role in the movie "Fatal Jealousy" as Mukhlis.
In the eighties, Yahya Al-Fakharani presented a lot of cinematic works that won the admiration of the masses, and he won the Best Actor Award from the Carthage International Festival for the movie "He came out and did not return", which was released in 1984, where he starred with Laila Elwi and Farid Shawky. He also won the Catholic Center Award for the movie "The Return of a Citizen" in 1986.
Between 1987-1992, he participated in the parts of the famous Egyptian drama series "Layali El Helmia". He played the role of the aristocratic Selim Pasha Al-Badri, and his main role was in the first four parts, and he became a guest of honor in the fifth part.
In the 1990s, he starred in several television series, the most important of which are: "A Thousand and One Nights", "Half Rabee' Akher", the character of Abdel-Moatal Mahgoub in the series "La", and the series "Zezenia" in its first and second parts. He also received the State Incentive Award in Arts from the Supreme Council of Culture for the year 1993.
In addition, he starred in several films such as "Execution of the Judge", "Love in the Refrigerator", "The Truth is Her Name Salem", and won the Excellence in Acting Award from the Fourth National Film Festival for the film "Dreamland" in 1993.
During the first decade of the twenty-first century, Yahya Al-Fakharani continued to provide distinctive and main roles in the dramatic and social series, the most prominent of which were: "Juha Al-Masry", "Triba fi Ezzo", "Sharaf Fath Al-Bab", and the series "Al-Layl Wa Akhra", which won an award. Best Actor for his performance as Rahim Al-Minshawi.
In 2010, he starred in the series "Sheikh Al Arab Hammam" alongside the two stars Sabreen and Reham Abdel Ghafour. In 2012, he took the lead role of an old drunkard with a suicidal tendency in the Egyptian series "Al-Khawaja Abdel Qader".
In 2018, Yahya Al-Fakharani's latest work was released, which is the drama series "Family Size", which is considered the fourth work in which Al-Fakharani collaborates with the able artist Mervat Amin.
In addition to all of this, he presented several radio series, including: "Hiyam and Fares Al-Ahlam" in 1986, "Al-Hout and Katkut" in 1998 and "Ahlam Scheherazade" in 2015.
He also had several experiences in the voice performance of cartoon films and others, in 2006 he performed the voice of the narrator in the movie "The Yacoubian Building", and in 2012 he performed the voice of the seas in the cartoon series "Human Stories in the Qur'an". In 2015, he performed the voice of Judge Safi Al-Din in the series "Questions of Verses in the Qur'an".
And his last work for the year 2021 is the play "Yama in the Jarab Ya Hawi", the series "Naguib Zahi Zarkash".
